The Living Room boasts unrivalled views of Coogee Bay and is a wonderful place to receive treatment.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is understood to restore the human's self-regulatory mechanisms. In other words, it is a method of diagnosis and treatment that enables your own self-healing processes. When you come for treatment, you are treated in your entirety, in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Physical and emotional states are interrelated and provide vital information about your underlying pattern of disharmony.

TCM is a powerful form of medicine that is able to rectify many health complaints - and it is completely natural! Clinical trials continue to support the techniques and treatment protocols passed down for thousands of years. In our era, the wisdom of the ancients is scrutinised by the rigours of the scientific method – and the result is a system of medicine that complements all that modern medicine has to offer.

The World Health Organisation states that based on controlled clinical trials acupuncture can be effectively used to treat many diseases including the following:

  • lower back pain, headache, neck pain, knee pain

  • adverse reactions to radiation or chemotherapy

  • depression (including depressive neurosis and depression following stroke)

  • nausea and vomiting

  • postoperative pain

  • sciatica, sprains, tennis elbow

  • morning sickness

  • rheumatoid arthritis

  • stroke

  • allergic rhinitis, including hay fever

  • period pain (primary dysmenorrhoea)

Further research continues to uncover more conditions that acupuncture can treat.
